Current Activities

There will be two Seminars on April 23rd at Almquist Lumber that you won't want to miss.

Fine Woodworker Robert Beauchamp of Davis, California will be presenting two
seminars.  We are still working out the details, but I wanted to give you all a
"heads up" so you can get this on your calendar.
The morning presentation will be on milling.  Robert has been milling lumber for over 30 years.
He provides high quality materials to woodworkers of all skill levels.  He also mills all of the
lumber for his own projects. He will cover all aspects of the logging process from tree evaluation, to harvesting, milling, and stacking the lumber.

In the afternoon, Robert will be talking about all aspects of designing a new piece of furniture
from the design process the selection of material, the engineering and problem solving, and
the woodworking processes.  He will be discussing the making of a new dining chair,
The Drempt Chair.

We are very fortunate to have a woodworker of Robert's caliber share his wealth of
knowledge with us.  Check out his website and stay tuned for the final details.
